Newsletter swaps with Signal Brief

A free mutual plug between our weekday AI-tools brief for B2B SaaS product managers and your newsletter. No money changes hands, the disclosure is fixed in code, and we’re happy to run yours first.

What a swap is (and isn’t)

A swap is a free cross-promo: we plug your newsletter in one of our weekday editions, and you plug Signal Brief in one of yours. That’s the whole deal — no invoices, no affiliate cut, no “media kit rates.”

It isn’t a sponsorship. Signal Brief’s public promise to subscribers is no sponsorships, no job board, no Slack — so the swap block is the one and only third-party mention our editions carry, it’s always free, and it always ships with the disclosure below. We don’t sell placements, and we won’t run a paid plug dressed up as a swap.

What your plug includes

  • Your name, one sentence, your link. Your newsletter’s display name, a one-sentence blurb on why PMs would want it, and your URL rendered verbatim — any ?ref= or UTM parameters the deal calls for go straight into the link, untouched.
  • Two surfaces for the price of zero. The plug runs in that day’s subscriber email (between tool 5 and our own trial CTA) and on the matching public archive page for that issue, which stays up — and indexed — permanently.
  • A direct link, no middleman. Your URL is a plain direct link: it doesn’t route through any redirect of ours, carries no tracking of ours, and fires none of our analytics events. Clicks land on your site with exactly the parameters you chose.
  • The fixed disclosure. Every plug carries the line “Newsletter swap · not a paid placement”— it’s hard-coded into both render surfaces and can’t be removed or edited by configuration. Your readers and ours always know what the block is.

How your plug renders

This is the exact block style, with placeholder copy — the same card appears in the email edition and on the archive page:

Newsletter swap · not a paid placement

Your Newsletter — One sentence on why B2B SaaS product managers would want it, in your words.

(The arrow link above is a non-clickable mockup — in a real issue it’s your URL, verbatim.)

The caps

The block is deliberately small and bounded, so it never crowds the editorial five tools subscribers pay for:

  • At most one plug per edition — your day is yours alone.
  • Newsletter name: up to 80 characters.
  • Blurb: one sentence, up to 220 characters.
  • Link: up to 300 characters, rendered verbatim.
  • The disclosure line is fixed and non-negotiable — for your plug and for ours.

We run yours first

To take the trust problem off the table: once we agree on dates, your plug runs in our edition before you owe us anything. Read the issue it ran in, check the archive page, see the clicks land — then run ours on your side.

One honesty note, since this page is meant for diligence: we don’t publish audience or subscriber numbers — here or anywhere. Judge the fit from the product itself: the archive below is exactly what subscribers receive.

What our edition looks like

Signal Brief is a paid daily newsletter for B2B SaaS product managers — $10/month or $96/year with a 7-day free trial. Every weekday morning, subscribers get exactly 5 new AI tools, each with:

  1. a one-sentence description,
  2. a “why it matters for PMs” line, and
  3. a link.

No sponsorships, no job board, no community Slack — the five tools are the whole product, and your swap plug sits after them, clearly disclosed, never in place of them.
